I got into photography through music. Growing up, I became obsessed with how much a single image could say about an artist — the way a great album cover doesn't just accompany the music, it completes it. That connection is what pulled me in.
Whatever I'm shooting, I'm looking for images with intention — every situation is different, but there's always a moment worth finding.
With portraits, what I'm really chasing is character. Anyone can make someone look good. What interests me is the expression that tells you exactly who that person is — the tension, the warmth, the thing that makes the subject unmistakably themselves.
When it comes to events, I shoot with the same eye. Every event has moments that define it — I stay close until I find them.
